Applicable to online fee payments made through fees.chavaraschool.in (the "Portal"), operated by Chavara Higher Secondary School, Kondagaon ("the School"). Last updated: October 2026.
Payments made through the Portal are towards school fees (tuition, admission, examination, or other heads defined by the School) and not towards the sale or shipment of goods. Accordingly, the concept of "order cancellation" as understood in e-commerce does not directly apply; this Policy instead explains when a payment can be stopped, reversed, or treated as cancelled.
A payer may cancel or abandon a payment at any point before it is authorised by their bank — for example, by closing the payment page, declining the OTP, or choosing "Cancel" on the ICICI Bank payment page. In such cases:
Once a payment has been successfully authorised and confirmed by ICICI Bank's Payment Gateway, it cannot be cancelled, as the funds have already been transferred to the School's account. Any correction required after a successful payment (such as a duplicate or erroneous payment) is handled under the School's Refund Policy, not as a cancellation.
If a transaction is interrupted — for instance, due to a network issue, browser closure, or power failure after the payer's bank has debited the amount but before the Portal confirms success — the School will independently verify the transaction's final status with ICICI Bank before updating the fee record. Such amounts, if actually debited without a corresponding successful fee entry, are auto-reversed by the bank, typically within 5–7 working days; see the Refund Policy for further detail.
In rare cases (for example, a transaction later found to be fraudulent, or made in error against an incorrect student record), the School reserves the right to reverse a recorded payment after verification, with written intimation to the payer.
This Policy may be revised from time to time at the School's discretion; the version published on this page at the time of payment shall apply.
